From the start, Greenroutes has worked closely with the UK’s first commercial producer of biofuel, ESL Biofuels, and continues to source the fuel for its vehicles from this Cheshire-based pioneer.
Wholly manufactured from genuinely sustainable feedstocks only, the biofuel significantly helps businesses to reduce their carbon footprint because it produces no net emissions of carbon dioxide, one of the main gases responsible for global warming.
In terms of performance, biofuel is also more efficient in the transport industry than petroleum-based diesel, providing similar miles per gallon and horsepower, but with extra lubricity to reduce wear and tear and extend vehicle engine life.

Manufactured in bulk for the past decade, the biofuel is already being successfully used by a range of local authorities as well as various commercial and blue chip customers.
